The understanding was reached during the 10th session of the Pakistan-Jordan Joint Ministerial Commission held in Islamabad. Both sides agreed to widen collaboration in education, labour, health, climate change, energy and minerals.

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal said Pakistan wants closer cooperation with Jordan in trade, agriculture and livestock, and will assist business communities in identifying areas of mutual interest.

The Jordan’s minister of industry and trade said the two countries have agreed to set up a working group, which will work on the establishment of a Pakistan-Jordan Business Council.

He said the private sector is the main driver of trade and economic relations, and both sides will look for new investment opportunities in joint ventures.
