Assassination attempt on Imran Khan: another suspect held by CTD Punjab

WAZIRABAD: Another suspect has been taken into custody by the Counter Terror Department (CTD) Punjab in connection with assassination attempt on the life of Chairman PTI Imran Khan on Thursday November 3.

According to details gathered by MM News, the suspect has been identified as Mian Ahsan, brother of PMNL’s Secretary Information Mian Nazeer. Mian Ahsan, fifth suspect taken into custody in connection with the firing incident, hails from Sohdra area of Wazirabad. 

Mian Ahsan was taken into custody from mobile market, Wazirabad, after a controversial social media post was brought to the notice of relevant authorities.

It may be recalled that on Friday, Police arrested two suspects for selling weapon to prime suspect Naveed, who confessed to shoot at Chairman PTI Imran Khan in Wazirabad on Thursday while he was atop his container during the course of Long March towards Islamabad.

The arrests came to light only minutes after DPO Gujrat was quoted as saying that the police were looking into connections with Naveed, his family members and others.
