Development Minister Asad Umar tests positive for COVID-19

Islamabad: Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar, who also heads Pakistan’s top coronvirus monitoring body, tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) chief in a tweet says, "Just got my covid test result and it is positive".
"Will be isolating at home," he added.
Pakistan has reported coronavirus deaths and 2,972 new positive cases in one day.
According to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 2,972 cases of coronavirus were reported while 71 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 9,164.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 451494.
As many as 399,852 patients have recovered from the disease with more than 3,000 recoveries in last 24 hours.
Punjab
After sharp increase in the cases, the number of patients swelled to 130,122 in the province. The province reported 3,522 coronavirus causalities.
Sindh
The cases of infection have surged to 201,080 in the province, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 3,270 in the province.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 54,021 in the province while the death toll has surged to 1,511 in KPK.
Balochistan
There are 17,868 confirmed cases while 177 patients died of the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 7,893 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 200. On the other hand, there are 4,810 cases in GB with 99 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 35,700 cases in the capital city while 385 people have lost their lives.
