Fawad Asks Former PM Nawaz Sharif To Return To Pakistan, Face His Cases

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry Hussain has asked former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan and face his cases.

In a statement on the reports about rejection of Nawaz Sharif's application by the UK authorities about granting medical visa extension, the Information Minister said PTI government has no personal enmity with former Prime Minister but he should return the money plundered during their government.

Fawad Chaudhry said Nawaz Sharif should visit Pakistan High Commission for travelling documents and return to the country and face cases.

Earlier, former premier  Nawaz Sharif’s troubles seem far from over as the British authorities have turned down his request for an extension in his visa.

According to sources, the British Home Office refused to extend Nawaz Sharif's visa as his passport was not renewed. A few days ago, a team of Nawaz Sharif's lawyers filed an appeal against the denial of visa.

Family sources say Nawaz Sharif's stay in the UK is still legal.
