Federal govt removes name of Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif from ECL

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has removed name of Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif from Exit Control List (ECL).

Earlier, the federal government had removed names of PPP and PML-N leaders from Exit Control List. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had recommended to remove the names prominent personalities from ECL, including members of Sharif family, PML-N leaders and PPP leaders.

According to sources, all those names which remained in ECL for four months will be removed. Names of more than 100 members have been removed including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz.

Furthermore, names of PML-N leaders including Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Asif had also been removed from ECL. Names of PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur had been removed from ECL.
