Former CDA Deputy Director Ghulam Murtaza Malik Sentenced To 5-Year Imprisonment For Corruption

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court on Friday sentenced five years imprisonment to former Deputy Director General CDA Ghulam Murtaza Malik.
The culprits were found guilty of constructing illegal floors in Jinnah Super Market and misusing their powers.
Accountability Court Judge Azam Khan also awarded Rana Qayyum, owner of illegal shopping center, 7-year imprisonment and fined him Rs 1 billion.

The court sentenced CDA officers Ammar Idrees, Khalil Ahmed and Khadim Hussain to imprisonment. Accused Ammar Idrees was fined Rs 300,000, Khalil Ahmed Rs 100,000, Ghulam Murtaza Rs 500,000 and Khadim Hussain Rs 100,000.
The court declared the last four floors of Safa Gold Mall as state property. The court directed the CDA director to fix the rent for the four floors.
