Govt decides to summon joint session for approving voting machine law on Monday

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to summon a joint session of the parliament for approving the voting machine law on Monday.

The decision was made during a meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khan with allies on Tuesday.

The prime minister took the allied parties into confidence for electoral reforms legislation. The government and allies agreed to adopt a common stand over key national matters.

MQM's Farogh Naseem, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Syed Aminul Haq and Awami Muslim League's Sheikh Rasheed, GDA's Dr Fehmida Mirza, and PML-Q's Moonis Elahi attended the meeting.
