ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday has said that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is trying to overcome the hurdles to ensure smooth flow of investment process in the country.

Addressing a launching ceremony of the Pak-China Business Investment Forum in Islamabad, the premier said that the country can also be flourished when we start promoting the industrial sector. State’s treasurer cannot be raised by only selling vegetables, he added.

PM said the people of Pakistan are talented and skillful, adding that the technology sector bore fruitful results after the concerned authorities used some advanced methods. We are very lucky that we have a rapidly developing country, China as our friend, he expressed.

While talking about corrupt practices, Imran Khan called money laundering as the biggest issue of developing countries. Every year a hefty amount has been transferred to rich states from less developed countries, he told.

About Pak-China Business Investment Forum

Pak-China Business Investment Forum has been formed with the collaboration of the Board of Investment Pakistan and All Pakistan Chinese Enterprises. This is aimed at increasing Chinese companies investment in Pakistan and promotion of business to business industrial cooperation.

Following the participation of over seventy companies in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Conference held in March last year, it was agreed in to establish a business forum with the cooperation of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and the Board of Investment to enhance business to business cooperation.

The forum consists of eighteen Chinese and nineteen Pakistani companies.

The objective of the forum is to promote sustainable investment and export industry and the development of modern technology in Pakistan.
