LAHORE: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday visited the residence of deceased journalist Sadaf Naeem to offer his condolences to her family.

The former premier offered his condolence to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

Sadaf Naeem, it may be recalled, died on Sunday after being crushed to death under Imran’s container while covering the party’s long march near Sadhoke.

As soon as the tragic incident happened, PTI Chairman Imran Khan announced the end of the long march journey on the day. Imran Khan himself got down from the container to check on her.

Late last night, Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Moonis Elahi, son of Parvez Elahi, quoted the Punjab CM’s tweeted, “on directive of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the financial assistance to heirs of late Sadaf has been increased to Rs5 million.”
