International community pledges total US$10.57 billion for flood victims Says Marriyum

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the international community and development partners had demonstrated exemplary compassion for flood victims of Pakistan by donating a total of US$10.57 billion.
In a tweet, she said that the Islamic Development Bank Group has pledged $4.2 billion, EU $93 million, Germany $88 million, China $100 million, IDB $4.2 Billion, WB $2 billion, Japan $77 million, ADB $1.5 billion, USAID $100 million and France $345 million in line with the collaborative vision of coalition of willing.
She said that World Bank Vice President for South Asia Martin Raiser announced $2 billion, responding to PM’s call for concrete action. "Moreover, the brotherly country Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has pledged $1 billion to assist Pakistan in the daunting task of resilient recovery and rehabilitation," she added.
