Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of a military operation against Israel, named “Operation Nasr,” marking a major escalation in regional tensions.

According to the IRGC spokesperson, the operation against Israel has officially been named “Operation Nasr,” while the attack has been launched under the code name “Ya Haider-e-Karrar.” He said all combat units are fully prepared and the armed forces are ready for large-scale retaliatory action on all fronts.

The IRGC claimed that Israel’s strategic airbases, including Nevatim and Tel Nof, were targeted in the operation. It said the strikes were carried out in response to Israeli missile attacks.

The spokesperson warned that the Zionist state should halt its attacks on Lebanon, adding that any further aggression would be met with an even stronger response. He further stated that all US and Israeli targets in the region could come under attack if hostilities continue.

Iranian media reported that air defence systems in Kermanshah were activated following Israeli strikes, and efforts were underway to intercept and neutralise incoming attacks. Flights at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport were also suspended.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council chief, Ebrahim Azizi, said Israel does not understand the language of peace and described its actions in Palestine and Lebanon as evidence of aggression. He warned that the resistance front would respond to the United States and Israel in their own “language.”

Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme Leader’s adviser Mohsen Rezaei said the enemy had been warned about attacks on Lebanon, adding that the retaliatory response had already been delivered overnight.
