While talking to media before departing for Quetta to express solidarity with the families of victims, Maryam Nawaz Prime Minister Imran Khan should have visited and condoled with the families who are staging a sit-in in extreme weather conditions along with the bodies of their loved ones.

“It is a national tragedy over which politics should not be done. A head of state is like a father who has certain responsibilities,” she said.

Maryam further stated that she is going to Quetta on the directions of former premier Nawaz Sharif’s.

“Eveb I have security threat but it is our duty to stand with the families of victims,” she said adding that Hazara community is looking towards Prime Minister for fulfillment of their demands.

The members of Hazara community along with families and relatives are staging a sit-in with dead bodies of slain miners on the fifth consecutive day.

Talks between the government and members of the Hazara community following the killing of coal miners in Machh ended without reaching an agreement, with protestors saying they would not bury dead bodies till Prime Minister Imran Khan arrives to their camp.
