Earlier yesterday, multiple screenshots of WhatsApp messages of purported chat between Arnab Goswami and Partho Dasgupta, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Broadcast Audience Research Council, emerged on media showing that the firebrand Indian anchorperson knew beforehand about the Pulwama attack subsequently airstrike of Pakistan’s Balakot.

Mumbai police have added the chat running over 1000 pages in the charge sheet against Goswami.

In the messages, both Indians discussed the Pulwama attack on February 14, 2019, in which 40 soldiers were killed. During the chat, the anchorpersons rejoiced over it expressing how the attack has helped his channel. “This attack we have won like crazy,” he wrote to Dasgupta.

Goswami also told the former head of the rating agency that “something will big will happen”. When Dasgupta asked If India going to target “Dawoos” the Republic TV chief said: “No sir Pakistan, something major will be done this time”. The message was sent by Goswmi around three days ago India launched failed airstrike on Balakot on February 26, 2019.

In response to a Dasgupta’s inquiry, Goswami writes, "Bigger than a normal strike. And also on the same time something major on Kashmir. On Pakistan the government is confident of striking in a way that people will be elated. Exact words used."

All the episodes occurred weeks ago India entered its general elections in April 2019, substantiating the claim that the BJP killed its own soldiers in Pulwama attack to make excuse for launching an attack on Pakistan with an aim to please the nationals to get support in polls.

As the chat went viral on social media, the Indian public is demanding clarification from the Indian government on the matter.
