ISLAMABAD: Microsoft founder Bill Gates has arrived in Pakistan on a surprise visit.
According to sources, Microsoft founder Bill Gates arrived in Islamabad on a short visit, his special plane arrived at Noor Khan Airbase.
Sources said that Bill Gates will spend the busiest day in Islamabad, shortly after which he will meet the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
Sources said that Bill Gates will also visit the NCOC headquarters where the founder of Microsoft will be briefed on the steps taken to prevent polio.
After a busy day, Bill Gates will return this evening.
It should be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Bill Gates, co-chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, continue to have occasional telephone conversations.
The two world leaders met last month to discuss a range of issues, including polio eradication in Pakistan and the recent Code 19 epidemic.
The Prime Minister lauded the work of the Nebel and Melinda Gates Foundation in eradicating poverty, disease and inequality in the world. He also lauded the work of the Foundation in Pakistan.
Citing the Gates Foundation’s strong advocacy for access to the COVD vaccine, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of equitable, timely and balanced delivery of the COVD-19 vaccine as low-income countries are able to cope with the social and economic impact of the epidemic. I got help.
In a telephone conversation, Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated his commitment that eradication of polio from Pakistan is one of the top priorities of the government and the campaign for eradication of polio is in full swing despite the challenges of CoV-19.
He said that positive progress was being made by Pakistan in reducing the number of polio cases in 2021 and only one polio case was recorded in the whole year.
