ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial has said that the NAB amendments have been made by the assembly which is not complete.

Hearing an application against the NAB amendments on Tuesday, the CJP ruled that a half of the assembly is observing a boycott.

"The problem is not with corruption, but the flaws in the system. Here the IGP and the SHO are replaced after each five and three months respectively," he observed.

The CJP remarked that corruption could not be eliminated despite the court verdicts. "The law is not implemented when the executive makes the decisions," he ruled. "In the past, the court announced verdicts on the Reqo Diq and Steel Mill with a good intentions. The government could not nab corruption in the projects due to weakness in the system."

The Chief Justice said that corruption should be unpardonable. The counsel for Imran Khan stated that the people move courts when the executive performs properly.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah remarked that corruption is wrong and undoubtedly there should be no corruption.
