OIC Secretary General arrives in Pakistan on 3-days tour

ISLAMABAD: The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha accompanied by a five-member delegation arrived in Islamabad here on Saturday on a three-day visit. He is visiting at the invitation of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He was received by Pakistan’s Permanent representative to OIC Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and Director General of OIC Mr. Farrukh Iqbal Khan. 

During his visit, the OIC Secretary General will call on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and hold a delegation-level meeting with the Foreign Minister to discuss issues on the agenda of OIC including Jammu and Kashmir, Islamophobia and the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan.

He will also visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The Secretary General’s visit will enable the exchange of views on how OIC can galvanize itself further to deliver on the aspirations of 1.9 billion Muslims that it represents.
