Sources said on Thursday that the Green Shirts are due to depart for Dhaka on the night of May 4, following the Pakistan Super League final. The opening Test will be held in Sylhet, marking the first occasion Pakistan have played a red-ball match at the venue. The second Test is to take place in Dhaka.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is expected to announce the formal schedule for the series within the next few days.

The Sylhet ground is known for its lively surface, offering greater pace and bounce than is usually found in Bangladesh. The conditions may provide an early edge to the home side’s fast bowlers
