President Alvi summons joint session of Parliament tomorrow

Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi has summoned joint session of the Parliament to meet at Parliament House in Islamabad tomorrow (November 11) at 11:00 am.
The President will address the joint session.
According to details, two bills will be presented in the joint session on electoral reforms for approval, including the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis and the use of electoral machines in the polls.
In the joint sitting, the opposition parties Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have finalized a strategy to give tough time to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
Earlier, a session of the opposition parties’ legal committee was held in Islamabad to review strategy regarding the joint sitting of Parliament which was attended by former prime ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Yousuf Raza Gilani, PPP leader Sherry Rehman, former opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah, Shazia Marri, former NA speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, MNA Khawaja Asif, Saad Rafique, and PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb.
