Punjab's 18-member cabinet sworn in

LAHORE - An 18-member cabinet of Punjab took the oath at Governor's House on Wednesday.
Governor Baleeghur Rehman administered the oath to the newly-inducted ministers. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was also present.
According to details, Marriyum Aurangzeb has been assigned the portfolio of Senior Minister for Planning and Development, Forests and Wildlife besides being appointed as a special assistant.
Pervez Rasheed will work as Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister. Bilal Yasin will be Minister for Food, while Kazim Pirzada will be Minister for Irrigation. Uzma Bukhari will act as Minister for Information and Broadcasting, while Rana Sikandar Hayat will be Minister for Primary Education. Khawaja Imran Nazir will act as Minister for Primary Health.
Khawaja Salman Rafique will be the Minister for Primary Health. Ashiq Kirmani, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Faisal Khokhar, Ramesh Arora, Zeeshan Rafique, Sohail Bharat, Chaudhary Shafaay Hussain and Sher Ali Gorchani have been assigned the portfolios of Ministers for Agriculture, Human Rights, Sports, Minorities Affairs, Local Government, Communication, Business and Industry and Mines and Minerals respectively.
