RAWALPINDI: The head of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rahid has claimed that the “cat is out of the bag and regime change operation is going to be exposed.”
The term ‘regime change operation’ is usually referred to change of government in April last year which is shrouded by series of controversies including that of a Cipher from US and local involvement to facilitate the ouster of Imran Khan-led government.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Sheikh Rashid said the visit to China by foreign secretary was very important, and instead of him, Bilawal should have gone there.
The AML Chief said the nation would not make any compromise national security, and demanded that the ‘sensitive speech’ of Ishaq Dar be made public. He said the nation would rather chose to die of hunger instead of making compromise on ‘national assets’.
Sheikh Rashid claimed that the government failed to get assurances of $6 billion (from friendly countries) and was in no position to strike any deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He further alleged that the government had put the state at risk for the sake of their own politics, adding that state meant the masses, which had already been destroyed by the rulers.
