FIA to Crack Down on Misuse of Hajj, Umrah Leaves by Govt Employees

Under the new system, government employees will be issued a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) featuring a QR code, which will be scanned and verified at airports.
The automated system will allow authorities to instantly detect fake or unauthentic NOCs.
The initiative will initially be implemented across institutions under the immediate jurisdiction of the FIA before being expanded to all other government departments in a phased manner.
The system will monitor all government employees traveling on ex-Pakistan leave, specifically targeting the misuse of religious travel allowances—such as individuals traveling to third countries after taking leave exclusively for Hajj or Umrah.
Digital verification will replace traditional paper-based NOCs to ensure streamlined tracking of officials traveling abroad.
