Pakistan Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices in Latest Revision
Published On 03 Nov, 2026
9 News HD: The federal government has reduced petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan, providing some relief to consumers amid rising fuel costs.
The new rates came into effect on November 3, 2026, following the latest review by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Under the latest revision, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs3.40 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs374.51. High-speed diesel (HSD) has become cheaper by Rs7.76 per litre, with its price falling from Rs402.96 to Rs395.20.
The price changes are expected to offer some relief to people who depend on their vehicles for daily travel. The reduction in diesel prices may also help transport operators, farmers and businesses that use diesel-powered vehicles and machinery.
According to OGRA, the revised rates were set under the federal government's petroleum pricing mechanism. The adjustment takes into account changes in international petroleum prices, premiums and other related costs.
The latest reduction comes as global oil markets continue to face uncertainty due to tensions in the Middle East. Changes in international oil prices can directly affect fuel rates in Pakistan.
Although the latest cut brings some relief, petrol and diesel remain expensive for many households and businesses. Consumers will be watching future price reviews to see whether fuel costs fall further or increase again.
The revised petrol and diesel rates are effective from November 3, 2026, across Pakistan.
