Gold Prices Decline in Pakistan

According to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,500 per tola to Rs483,036.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs3,001 to Rs414,125, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold declined by Rs2,751 to Rs379,628.
In the international market, gold prices fell by $35 to $4,605 per ounce, the association said.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved higher, with the price per tola rising by Rs50 to Rs7,329. The price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs43 to Rs6,283.
Internationally, silver prices rose by $0.50 to $68.50 per ounce, according to the association.
Investors continued to closely monitor developments in the Middle East amid ongoing tensions and diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a lasting resolution to the conflict in the Gulf.
Meanwhile, Iran has been unable to import sufficient petrol to make up for a shortfall in domestic production due to a US naval blockade, a senior Iranian official said.
