Good news for consumers: NEPRA has announced significant relief for solar power users.

Islamabad: NEPRA has provided major relief to small solar consumers by abolishing the licensing requirement for systems with a capacity of 25 kilowatts or less.
According to a spokesperson for the Power Division, this step was taken on the directive of Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari. Under this directive, the Power Division had formally written to NEPRA requesting the removal of the licensing requirement for small solar consumers.
Following the Power Division’s letter, NEPRA issued a notification not only eliminating the licensing requirement but also abolishing the per-kilowatt fee for small solar consumers.
