Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui will not be able to cast his vote on the 27th Constitutional Amendment as he has been placed on a ventilator due to critical illness.
According to family sources, the senator’s health has deteriorated, and he is currently on oxygen support.
They said it is unlikely that he will be able to participate in the voting process for the amendment.
Born in Rawalpindi and educated at the University of Punjab, Siddiqui has been a prominent columnist for more than two decades. He is the parliamentary leader of PML-N and serves as chairperson of the standing committee on foreign affairs in the Senate.
