Sindh Police has issued a clarification regarding the shell recovered from the crime scene in the Mir Raza case, saying the forensic evidence was submitted to the laboratory without delay.

According to police, the shell was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory on August 7, while the forensic laboratory issued its report on August 10. The report has been part of the case file from the outset.

Police said the report was submitted to the Sindh High Court commission along with the initial supplementary challan. The report pointed out negligence on the part of the relevant arms dealer and recommended legal action.

Sindh Police rejected the impression that the shell had been submitted late, saying the shell recovered from the crime scene did not match the pistol allegedly used in the incident.

According to the police, the shell from the incident was personally submitted to the forensic laboratory by the investigating officer.

Police further said that the shell would be verified again after the recovery of the pistol allegedly used in the incident.
