9 News HD: Tesla has revealed its new Roadster electric sports car with a special feature that has caught the attention of car fans. The vehicle uses SpaceX thruster technology to turn in the air and perform moves that are not possible for ordinary cars.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk showed the new Roadster at an event in Texas on October 15, 2026. During the demonstration, the car moved up a curved ramp, turned upside down and then flipped through the air before landing on its wheels.

The car uses technology developed with SpaceX, the rocket company also led by Musk. According to the company’s engineers, the Roadster has thrusters that use compressed air to help lift and move the vehicle in the air.

The car also has a special suction system underneath it. This system helps hold the vehicle against a surface, allowing it to move along an upside-down ramp during the demonstration.

Tesla says the new Roadster is designed to offer very high speed and strong performance. The company has claimed that the car can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than one second. However, these features will need to be assessed as the vehicle moves closer to production.

The Roadster has been delayed for years since it was first announced in 2017. Tesla now plans to begin production in 2028, meaning customers will have to wait longer before the car becomes available.

The new model shows how Tesla and SpaceX technology could work together in unusual ways. However, it remains to be seen how much of the air-turning technology will be available in the final customer version and how practical it will be for everyday use.
